The India Gate, Gandhi Memorial and Presidential Palace

After visiting the Indian Institute for Foreign Trade, we have a little time to see some sights later in the afternoon.

Now, this is the way to do some sight-seeing in Delhi -- have your own private tour guide pointing out the sights, such as this India arch, a striking structure in a large urban park in Delhi:


Then we traveled to see the Gandhi memorial gardens in the Raj Ghat (see picture at top of the post and then immediately below this text.) Visitors remove their shoes before walking to central part of the memorial, shown below:



From a distance, we saw the presidential palace:
