This morning we traveled to the,USIEF a 10-minute drive from our hotel. This organization is an "EducationUSA" advising center. We met with Vibha Sharma, Director of the organization, and Sonal Jaitly, a program associate.
Sonal explained how the higher education system works in India. While there are similarities to the U.S. system, there are also some major differences in terms of structure and funding. We then had a wonderful discussion with Vibha Sharma, explaining our hopes for a growing global perspective for St, Ambrose students overall. It was an encouraging meeting, with a good sense of mutual interest. Our meeting was valuable to a large degree due to the diligent outreach that Arun has established prior to our visit.
